Joanna Sorensen joined the Hope House staff in June 2022. Before working at Hope House, Joanna spent three years teaching English literature and English language development in Greeley, CO, and one year working as a curriculum designer and team coordinator for Rescue Pink, a female-empowerment nonprofit organization based out of Hyderabad, India. Joanna has her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education and Master of Teaching and Cultural Studies, both from the University of Northern Colorado. Joanna loves working with girls and empowering them to dream big dreams while also feeling practically cared for and supported. As the grant development officer, she enjoys connecting with champions and sharing amazing stories of how Hope House is changing the lives of teen moms and their children. Joanna is a Colorado native and, in her spare time, loves to hike 14ers, paddleboard and go on camping and backpacking trips.
