It is with great emotion that I am announcing the
resignation of my co-founder and Hope House Program Director, Amie Walton. With much celebration, and a few tears, Amie left in Dec 2010 to pursue a Master’s Degree and a new direction in her life, and that of her family.
You can read Amie’s farewell letter below:
Dear Hope House friends and family,
I am writing you this email with a lot of sadness, but also a great peace. I am stepping down from my position as Program Director at Hope House. I transitioned out of my role at the beginning of January. I am so very sad to leave all of you and have enjoyed working with each one of you so much! Actually, it is the thought of leaving so many wonderful people that has been the hardest 🙂
I’ve made this decision with so much prayer and thoughtfulness, and truly feel that God is calling me to do other things. I’ve been working with teen moms for 14-15 years now and am ready for a change. I am planning on continuing in a Master’s Program next fall, but for the early part of next year I am going to take some time to be home with my kids- which I am so excited to do.
Please know that I am so very thankful that God called me to this ministry and that I have been blessed to see God working in so many tangible ways! God truly has His hand on this place.
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
In Him,
Amie
We are also excited to introduce our new Program Director, long-time employee, Robin Scott, who has served at Hope House since we opened! Read more about Robin on our Meet Us page under About Us.
