Hope House held its first 5K, the Derby Dash, last Saturday, and it turned out to be both a beautiful day and a successful event: we raised $12,000 and nearly 200 people showed up to support our self-sufficiency programs for our teen moms who are from all over the Denver-metro area.
Congratulations to Jay Harpp from Red Rocks Church Sports and Activities group, who came in first with a time of 19:38! If you would like to see your own results, click here.
Be sure and check out the pictures below. You will see runners crossing the finish line, our teen moms running with their babies in strollers, and a few adorable toddlers competing in the Diaper Dash.
Thank you again for your support — and a big shout out to our sponsors and vendors who helped make the Derby Dash a success!
