Most of our teen moms did not go to their prom and have never been to any type of formal event, so attending our annual Gala is an exciting yet often intimidating milestone for them.
Enter Boutique Night, which is all about preparing our girls for the Gala! Hope House champions from all over Denver donated gently used (and sometimes brand new!) formal gowns for this event, which meant our girls had over 200 dresses to “shop” from.
The evening also included a delicious meal provided by Tazikis and etiquette lessons led by a Hope House board member. Gift cards for shoes and jewelry, provided by Frontier Metal Stamping, topped off the event.
Our teen moms were thrilled to take home a gorgeous dress… one young mom, after viewing herself in a sparkling gown, said, “Cinderella has always been my favorite!” It is exciting to see our teen moms learn to view themselves as we view them and as God views them: special and beautiful!
