How do our teen moms become self-sufficient?
Typically, the first step is earning a GED certificate. However, this is just a stepping stone. Economic self-sufficiency requires landing a job that pays a living wage, which usually requires further education.
That is why we are so proud of Ahriana, Nicole and Carly who recently graduated from the Emily Griffith Technical College. Certificates in hand, these young women are ready to continue with internships and jobs that will allow them to become financially independent.
Successfully breaking the cycle of poverty, Ahriana, Nicole and Carly are creating a beautiful future for their children.
