Wow! Over 300 Hope House champions attended Hope House Colorado’s Grand Opening for the organization’s brand new Resource Center.
Attendees included HomeAid Colorado staff, builder Meritage Homes, dozens of trades who worked tirelessly to complete the building, representatives from the City including the Mayor himself, and, of course, donors and volunteers who sacrificially gave to make this building a reality.
Consider this… when we moved into our leased space in 2012, Hope House was serving 45 girls annually.
Over those last six years, Hope House added a College & Career Program, legal advocacy, case management, personal growth programming and an Early Learning Program.
This year Hope House will serve 250 teen moms, and staff members look forward to being able to serve up to 450 teen moms every year in the new building. Can you believe it?!
As people toured the new Resource Center, there were looks of amazement and excitement on every face as people toured the incredible space God has blessed Hope House with, from the great dining hall and the “Mama Bear Cave” community room to the huge Learning Lab and even the brand new furniture in every room — donated by a very generous Hope House Champion.
Founder & Executive Director Lisa Steven says she “feels humbled and blessed beyond measure at the building God has given us. But more important than the bricks and mortar is what will happen inside these walls as hundreds of teen moms and little ones join our Hope House family and find a place to belong, to be safe, to learn, and to be loved!”
