Each year at the gala, a Hero of Hope Award is given to a champion of Hope House who has displayed generosity in a variety of ways through generous giving of personal, spiritual and financial investment.
This year’s award went to long-time champion and former board member, Moni Piz-Wilson. As an influential and recognizable woman in the Arvada community as Owner of Grandma’s Frozen Noodles, Piz-Wilson has also given of herself to Hope House through: donating items to the silent auction, sponsoring numerous events, providing space at her Arvada business for Hope House staff to gather, connecting Hope House to many wonderful people and businesses in Arvada, inviting teen moms into her home for meals and visiting teen moms and staff at the Resource Center. Upon receiving her award, Piz-Wilson looked at the teen moms in attendance and expressed, “Girls, this is all for you because I am so in awe of what you accomplish in your very, very young lives; and I am so honored to be able to serve in the ways that God has blessed me to serve you, so I dedicate this to you.”
