Donor-Advised Funds
About Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are becoming a popular avenue for charitable giving. While some champions choose to open a family foundation to give charitably, DAFs offer a similar setup without all the legal documents that go with setting up a foundation. The benefit of giving through a DAF, which you can set up through community foundations or financial services firms, is that you benefit from an immediate tax deduction on the market value of your donation, but you have the freedom and flexibility to decide when you want to transfer these funds over to the qualified charity (or charities) of your choice, like Hope House Colorado.
By contributing to your DAF, you are investing your funds, which means they have the potential to grow over a period of time and make a greater impact! You can also set up your DAF as a legacy or planned giving fund by adding Hope House Colorado as a beneficiary that would benefit from your giving after your lifetime.

Empower Teen Moms Through Your DAF
If you are interested in donating through your DAF, contact your sponsoring organization where your DAF is located so they can help you donate your funds directly to Hope House Colorado.
Make Your Gift Go Even Farther!
#HalfMyDAF is back again this year to help make your DAF contributions to charitable organizations go farther! This year’s overall matching pool of funds is $2,250,000, including $1 million in the general matching fund for all nonprofits.
Your money could go even further. Every grant from a DAF given by a donor who commits to halving their DAF increases Hope House Colorado’s chances of receiving a matching grant.
